In a world where families are pulled in so many different directions it can seem like our youngest children are often an afterthought. When the “race to the top” often leaves those same children at the bottom of a “to do” list. When it is easier to shut yourself off from our neighbors than getting to know them. When family dinners have been replaced with take-out on the way to or from soccer, dance or baseball. When more time is spent interfacing with a machine than with people & more environmental toxins are affecting both our short & long-term health, we feel there is a need to get back to basics.
We strive to provide an environmentally friendly, healthy & safe atmosphere to every child regardless of economic barriers, encouraging not only academic growth but social-emotional learning as well. Through a variety of activities & experiences we help grow not only life-long learners, but caring, responsible citizens. By embracing all of the culture, diversity & events our community has to offer, we can expose our students to a variety of opportunities they might not otherwise get to enjoy. When we take the focus off the group & put it onto the individual child, we can better serve their individual needs to assist them in reaching their maximum potential.
We endeavor to make our center a warm, welcoming environment where we can assist our parents with not only their childcare needs, but also in offering opportunities for them to come together as a family and as a community to have fun, learn or just enjoy time in their child’s classroom. We hope to offer the support every parent needs as they go through life’s many struggles & we are honored to be a part of our families’ community.
We hope to be a place where teachers are appreciated and valued as equal contributors to a larger goal, where teamwork is the norm and not the exception, and where lifetime friendships are built. We aspire to be a safe haven from the rough, busy, messy world outside where everyone has a place and where children, families and teachers come to stay because they are part of our family.
